Welcome to Tuesday Tips and Tricks for plane spotting
Now some of these can help you identify a plane (I forgot to add it last week) but the main topic today is tracking planes. Many people like going on plane tracking to see how far it has come or where it is going. Some trackers can also tell you the type, registration, and owner of an aircraft. Here I will show
you some
1. Flight Aware:
Flight Aware (https://flightaware.com/) allows you to easily search a flight number and then track it in
real-time and allows you to see the weather and delays at a certain airport, however, is not so good at
finding an aircraft via map, so, you have to use a flight number or different flight tracker.
You can also see and post photos as well as interesting news called 'squawks'. Homepage:

You can see an airplanes route, airline, plane type and real time location:
btw, this is 3 different screenshots!
you can also see delays with the 'Misery map':
and view 'squawks' which is where you can post interesting news articles as well as like and dislike:
FlightAware is free to use (except for premium accounts) and signing up is optional but doing so means
you can upload photos, squawks and can set up alerts so you get notified when an aircraft is taking off,
approaching, en route, and landing at an airport. you also get badges for doing certain things:
